Time for a coffee break againWe have collected some news and observations during this past couple of weeks. Take some time to catch up on the things related to Kaseya, application updates and general IT news for managed service providers.

Mac is not virus free

A lot has happended during the last couple of weeks with the Mac. The flashback malware has been all over the news. We provided a couple of tools to upgrade the Mac OS X with Kaseya Agent procedures. The problem was not in the Mac OS X itself, but rather depending on flaws in the Java engine. Make sure Java gets updated.

Microsoft Patch Tuesday

Notification for May 2012 contains 7 bulletins: three rated “critical” and the rest “important.”

Application updates

Firefox jumped to version 12.0 and fully leverages the new auto-update features. Look for Mozilla Maintenance Service under local system services after update. And yes, the services should be set to Manual. Firefox will start the service when called upon. This is also the standard settings for the Adobe Flash Player Update Service. Speaking of Flash. Take time to update to the latest Adobe Flash Player version 11.2.202.235 now. Read more here. The tools neded for updating is part of the Upstream Power Pack for Kaseya.

MDM - viktigt med paketeringen

 Nikos Karavelakis 7

"What's in it for them?"
